SICK of SICK - Blurghhhh!

Hi - This may sound silly but how often are children sick? My DS aged 6 seems to be sick quite often, after a cinema trip for example, after a birthday party, or just every month or so - after a tummy ache. It passes quickly and could be excitment or over eating but he just 'goes' all over the carpet (at night) and then straight back to sleep like it didn't happen. Is this normal? Do children 'throw up' like this?!! Otherwise he seems happy!

I've known of a couple of children who have done this (into their teens) and each had reflux. Over eating causes it for them and as you describe, it's a much less 'dramatic' event than bug induced sickness.
If he's gaining weight fine and generally well in himself then I wouldn't worry about it too much but maybe mention it to GP at some point?

(Get him a bedside bucket )
