am i right in thinking i just go to pharmacist and get over the counter medicine?

Yes, treat the whole family, wash absolutely everything and retrain everyone on handwashing procedures.

There will be guidance in the packet the medicine comes in, so don't worry. It is icky but increasingly common.

Whatever you do, don't self medicate with garlic.

The medicine seems to work well. We had them (or at least my daughter did) in the autumn.

It's the washing of towels, sheets and pyjamas, etc, all the time that I found exhausting.

My daughter got hers after six years in a state primary, immediately on moving to a posh girls' private school. Just shows: anyone can get them

i am seriously grossed out by it. was prepared for ds to get them from school, but not ME !

get a family packet of ovex or pripsen powder.If you get free prescriptions get doc to write you some prescriptions for mebendazole tablets or liquid.Make sure everyone cleans under their nails properly and make sure the children always wash their hands after the loo.
