Can anyone recommend any contact lens insurance?

My sister has to wear expensive gas permeable lenses, the sort that cost hundreds per eye. She used to have insurance through her optician but both he and the insurer have retired. She can't find anyone who insures them.

She doesn't have contents insurance so can't add it to that and it would be a massive excess anyway.

She just broke one after years and is heartbroken at the cost, uninsured. Before it would have cost her 30 pounds to replace it.

If anyone has insurance like this please give me a link or number! Thanks so much.

I also wear GP lenses, get them through Boots, mainly because we move regularly and wanted a 'chain', but that's irrelevant. They do a vision plan and for £12 monthly on DD I get a new pair each year, check ups free when I need them, and one free replacement lens if needed each year. I think there's also discount on glasses and stuff as part of the deal

Might be worth asking about?
