Transversus stomach muscles 2 years after giving birth?

After having DD2 my stomach muscles had seperated. I had this with my first DD and needed physio for it. My midwife this time said they weren't bad enough for treatment but surely they should be back together by now?
I noticed them laying in the bath tonight. They are seperated from the top to the bottom and I can push my index finger between them about an inch deep.
I am also wondering if this has contributed to my back/shoulder problems and my posture probably isn't great due to this. I'd really appreciate your thoughts, particularly any midwives/physios. Thanks.
