some of you may remember me talking about this before however, just wondered what i should do now.she's had it now since december. i've seen a paediatrician-in december as she was seeing him then for something els-who took blood tests etc. just to reassure me that there was nothing wrong and, thankfully, the results were good. but, even though i've brought it to doctors'attention on numerous occasions-eg when she's had a sore throat etc.-they have all told me not to worry as it's nothing sinister and obviously that's what i need to hear. only thing is, i'm still worrying inside-it's apparently an enlarged lymph node which could be there forever. thing is, i don't want to push it and end up her having to get it cut out and then possibly causing her problems. i just need to know if there's anyone out there who's been through the same thing. and what they did about it. should an enlarged lymph node stay up so long?

I've got one which I've had since I was about 12. It stayed exactly the same, in my neck jsut below my jaw line, and never caused any probs.

My ds has one I think I told you about it I was frantic with worry He had it looked at when he was about 1 and it has only recently gone (he is 11!!)it still comes up when he is unwell I was convinced he had lymphoma or something but he has never been really ill and just had the lump with no other symptoms

My 3 yr old has one in his neck too. Had it for about 4 months. Too scared to go to GP. Otherwise he is fine. Feel reassured by reading this. Will only go now if it changes.

DS1 has one under his arm, but a bit down from the armpit. He had a full blood count done, and was fine, and the doctor observed over a couple of months, but it looks like it's just there. Hope that reassures!
