I am on ab's for sinusitis but I am also very breathless ...

Is it possible that I have a chest infection too or is it just that the sinusitis is making me really pathetic??? Just wondering

You may have a chest infection. I had one recently and it made me very breathless. Did your GP listen to your chest when you got your AB's? I'd go back and get them to check, being breathless is not a nice feeling. Hope you feel better soon.

Hi, he did not check my chest, he checked my throat and ears but not my chest.

I would go back, and get it checked out. If its any help, I could hear my chest rattling, and I had a raised temperature, as well as breathlessness.

But I do think breathlessness on its own is enough to warrant a trip back to the docs.

Hi, do you have asthma? If so, could you check your peak flow and if it is lower than it should be I would phone up NHS Direct for advice if you cannot get a dr's appointment for Monday.

NHS direct can get you an out of hours dr's appointment if they think you need one, can reassure you etc.

I am an asthmatic and found infections and breathlessness a problem and got nebulisers to help from out of hours dr's before.

Hi. I am thinking it is all just part of the sinusitis. Although simple things are still leaving me out of breath and thats not good. I have 2 days of anti biotics left and feel that I may have to go back for another prescription as I am still feeling really ill so I will say to them then. Thanks for answering x
