I know the SF pregnancy thing has been done to death, but still cannot decide.

Also the media are very quiet about it at the moment so it is hard to know if the pandemic is fading ....arghhh confused

Anyway if you had the vaccine and have had you babies please post to let me know if you and baby are ok

Life,I am sure the MAJORITY of mums who had the sf jab will be fine.please don't spend your pg dissecting this, just enjoy it

My dd is disabled and cos she was in a high risk group (neuro disorders) had it as did I as frontline nhs bod, both fine and dandy after

Please don't worry, concentrate on your pg and having a happy time after lo is born and look at you username

Had it - no problem. Baby and I are fine.

gaelicsheep · 14/01/2010 23:23

I doubt anyone's going to give birth to a baby with two heads because of a vaccination with a miniscule bit of mercury in it. The scaremongering about this has been quite incredible, and we pregnant women have quite enough to worry about as it is.

My only real worry was that I might miscarry if my immune system over-reacted. I didn't, so I'm now trying to forget it and concentrate on enjoying my pregnancy (apart from the bit when the doctor couldn't find the foetal heartbeat today.)

jasmeeen · 14/01/2010 23:26

I had it. DD1 is nearly 2 weeks old and just fine, as am I.

In fact this was my fastest recovery from the birth and she is the easiest of my babies, so it didn't do us any harm.

How far on are you, early on not always easy to find hb.They wriggle!

Don't beat yourself up about this

gaelicsheep · 14/01/2010 23:50

17 weeks (sorry for hijack - posted and then regretted). Baby was wriggling (if it's not wind that is) and Dr could hear placenta v loudly (possibly anterior) and thinks it was masking the baby. She wasn't worried and I know I shouldn't be either, but you can't help it, can you?

MavisEnderby · 14/01/2010 23:52

No you can't esp if first one.

If sonographer not worried= good sign

gaelicsheep · 14/01/2010 23:58

It's my second, so I'm 99% these little prods and pokes I'm getting are not wind. I can't remember when MW first checked with my first tbh. It was my GP doing my check, and she certainly doesn't do it every day so may not know all the knacks. She warned me beforehand that she may not find it, and apologised profusely afterwards for even trying! She did pick up sudden loud "swishing" sounds though which she said must be the baby moving.
