Belly button hernia - agony! Any suggestions on how to ease it?

Hiya,

I've got a bellybutton hernia (7 months pregnant), and think I might have strained it pushing my toddler round in the snow ans lush.

It's agonising today, and now I'm finding it almost impossible to lift him, or bend down.

Any suggestions on how I can ease it? I feel quite sick and my DS is not being his easiest today, and there's no-one around to help until later tonight.

Any tips, so gratefully received.

Get yourself to the doctor PRONTO. I had a para-umbilical hernia since pg with ds1, after he was born, i had a pain round my belly like an elastic band, went to the dr and he said it has started to strangulate, he sent me to hopital immediately, where a dr manged to manipulate it back inside. i satyed overnight and the following morning they did a mesh operation. Have had no problems since.

seriously though, get a dr to have a look.

Hiya GG, thanks so much for your advice.

I called the midwife, who sent me straight to hospital to get checked out. They've said that despite the pain, they can't do anything about it while I'm pg, and to take painkillers til the worst of it subsides and that it should get better within a few days.

They also reassured me that nothing bad would happen with it, so I shall take their word for it for now and just keep an eye!

Still bloody hurts though.
