So he had a couple of teeth extracted due to decay. It is not quite as straight forward as you might think but I feel awful.
He has severe food allergies and issues around food as a result. He is underweight and doesn't eat so sugar plays a part in his diet to get him to eat. Sugary breakfast cereals, snacks (flapjacks) ice cream etc. He regularly has a calorific deficit, probably most days and when we cut out sugary foods or cut them out he loses weight. He is 10 and has been like this all his life. We have support from the NHS (from psychologist to dietician) and they are very supportive but at times like this I feel terrible and DS feels guilty for not wanting to eat. I keep waiting for him to grow out of it.
