Flowertop-I think you have done your bit & it´s time for your husband to take over!

Flowertop · 11/01/2010 09:34

Thank you diddl - I know am much too soft!!

I feel like a bag of nerves today, the cheapie internet tests havent arrived yet!! And I have to go to work Flowertop - My Drs aren't particularly sympathetic but the surgery nurse was, so literally ticked everybox to be tested , so its maybe worth going to see the nurse first depending on how your surgery system works? xx

Flowertop · 11/01/2010 10:38

ILC - do you mean to be tested to see if I am going through the meno. I know what you mean about buying tests locally as the last time I bumped into the local gossip and was frantically trying to hide my test under my other shopping . Let us know how you get on with the test. xx

Yes, thats what Im scared of too!! Well I guess if you have tests for menopause then if you are questioning your fertility that would follow? I had a scan aswell which checked everything was still in order (thickeness of my womb, follicles etc). So its worth it and Id rather know what the symptoms are so I know what to put it down to. Thanks Flowertop - will do!! I havent spoken to anyone about it, not even my partner as I do feel foolish xx

ILC- I've lost the plot a bit with your posts-are you worried you are PG or that you are menopausal?

Ilovechristmas · 11/01/2010 16:16

Hi Purplepeony; Im very nervous about pg, but I have now done the internet cheapie and go BFN, so thats out!! Was very nervous though as all my symptoms are for that and Ive had just a few kids to know how it feels . My last period was at the beinging of december, I think, so should show by now. Ill give it a week and then if the nausea, boobys, smell thing dont all calm down by then will go and see my gp. xx

purplepeony · 11/01/2010 17:29

ILC- my diagnosis of you is that you are having peri symptoms. It is possible to have phantom periods where you get all the symptoms of PMS but no bleeding.

You might find your sore boobs continue as part of the hormonal imbalance.

Maybe instead of seeing your GP you just need to read a good book on the menopause- i can recomend this one.

www.amazon.co.uk/Your-Change-Choice-Integrated-Menopause/dp/0340828862/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qi d=1263230906&sr=8-1

thanks purplpeony, can you recommend any good websites? I have looked but cant find anything where others are going thru similar, that I can relate to? The trouble with books is my OH will then tease me and if in a rage use it against me . I suffer from panic attacks and he uses this against me at times, so really dont want to give him any more canon fodder . So internet is easier as its more private. If you dont know of any, no worries, Ill keep googling xx

Menopause Matters has been recommended, Ilovechristmas - and I think they have a forum on there as well.

Thank you BecauseImWorthit, will poke my head round the door xx
