Don't know if it is a cyst or not?

Found a lump next to the opening of my vigina last Friday. It started out small but got bigger. It is really uncomfortable and sore, struggle to sit.

I googled lump and it looks like it must be a cyst. I know a cyst is a watery lump.
But what I want to know is, must it always be removed by surgery or will it go away itself? Must I go to the doctor or can I wait to see my gynocologist on the 2nd of Feb?

I'm a bit scared, do I need to be? What is the chance that it can be cancer?

Bartholins cyst most likely.

Can either be lanced or treated with anti biotics. Would not advise waiting til Feb- might be very big by then!
