Great idea for vaccination records

Hi Everyone....

I had lost my child's vaccination history and we were planning a family holiday to Thailand and I was convinced that we required some vaccinations. I was shocked when I discovered that I had to pay his GP to give me another copy of his records in order to figure out what he required.

However the GP then recommended that I store all our family's records on this new website www.myvaccs.com

It appears to be really good and free (although I have not got round to creating an account yet) Great idea though.. Thought you would like to know....

I am rather surprised you were charged for the information of your child's vaccine history.

Surely the nurse at the surgery should have worked out for you whether s/he needed vaccines, using her/his vaccination record on the notes.
That's what happens at my surgery "travel clinic".

Your GP should only have charged you printing costs and personally I wouldn't have charged you at all. How daft to make it difficult for parents to keep track of vaccinations - it's only a page or two of printing.

So use the website by all means but you might want to query the charge for the printed record
