ds3 is vacced, other dc have symptoms, ds3 symptom free

Ds3 had the vacc at school, the other dc haven't been vacced. All the others are showing symptoms including me and dh, as well as 11 week old dd. Ds has not had even a runny nose. Do you think maybe we all have sf? If so what shall I watch for with dd?I have given her calpol, even though she is not strictly 3 months old till next week, that is ok right? The others appear to be largely over the worst of it. Just me and dd now.

My calpol is 2 months+

I think sf would be showing a raging temperature in the kids, regardless of vacs so perhaps it is not that.

If you kids have SF, you'd probably need to dose them with calpol and baby nurofen, but make sure you don't give too much.

Sorry, can't help with sf advice, but calpol is OK from 2 months, so you should be fine to use it with DD.

My DD is the same age, and when she was poorly recently doctor told me to give 2.5mls of calpol, but could give another 2.5mls (so total dose of 5mls) if her temp hadn't come down within 30mins of first dose.

Although if your DD has a low weight etc, then you may be advised differently, so might want to speak to your GP about it.

Not sure if its SF but dd1 and i had a bug last week which was similar to SF (high temp for 4 days, cough, soar throat, runny nose and aching all over), dh and dd2 did not come down with it even though dd1 was sneezing over everything.

Dd1 was ill for 5 days (until temp was back to normal), i'm still getting over it after 6 days and temp is back to normal.
