ive got a really tight chest, hoarse cough, and virtually no voice left.

i have not got a cold, i really feel like i need something warm and soothing for my throat, would you have a whisky? im actually craving it even though i hate the stuff...

saw a gp today and i havnt got an infection. is alcohol a really bad idea or should i have a medicinal whisky?

or does anyone know a good hot toddy recipe that is actually drinkable. ta.

Sympathies, my throat feels like I've swallowed a cactus at the moment! I usually go for hot lemon juice with a good dollop of honey in it. I don't like whisky, but don't suppose it would do any harm if you fancy some (would it taste good in honey and lemon maybe?).

Have you tried steaming over a bowl of hot water with a few drops of olbas oil in it? That might help ease your chest a bit.

oh ive got a facial steamer i could dig that out...ill do that tomorrow.

wonder if a honey/lemon drink would taste good with a tot of whisky in...(am determined to get that whisky in somewhere!)
