Taking 36 Neurofen in 24 hours

Not me, an emplyee of DH.

The maximum dose is 6 in 24 hours.

As far as we know it ws taken for a hang over (or two).

How dangerous is this, and do you think DH should say something?

He needs to go to a+e, although I don't know whether they would be able to pump his stomach or what.

It was every few hours, from Saturday lunchtime, to Sunday lunch time. (She went out Fri and Sat night) She finished work at 2pm Sunday, and isn't due in again until Thursday.

DH wasn't working but found the packets in her desk bin this morning, and mentioned it to another collegue who was working with her and confirmed she had been taking them.

The same woman also made some massive mistakes while working on Sunday. These mistakes are so huge, I think DH should instantly dismiss her, but I doubt very much he will. He is going to talk to her on Thurday about her mistake, but we're not sure if he should mention the Neurofen. In would...in a woman to woman to woman way, but I think he feels he can't really say anything.

she has a massive overdose of painkillers.
She has taken a huge number of pills and she has drunk alcohol with them. She might already have done irreparable damage to herself.

He needs to call her and tell her he found the packs and tell her to get her arse to the nearset hospital. it's not just her stomach- it's her liver and brain that could be affected.

Is it possible that she took much fewer and chucked the empty packets in the bin out of her handbag or something?

Whatever, somebody should ring and check.

if she really has taken 36...she needs an ambulance.she has probably done irreprable damage to her intestinal mucosa,probably stripped it completely. What on earth made her take so many. that many could kill her. Do you know what strength they are....not that it matters as 36 200mg is just as bad as 36 400mg.

I agree with notanun. Surely nobody would be as stupid to take that many unless they where trying to kill themselves...

Its most likely shes had a quick handbag sort out after realizing how cluttered it is when shes been digging round for tablets in there.

If you are really worried then all your DH needs to say is 'Bloody hell, you didn't take that many did you?'
