cyst on ear - what will they do at the hospital?

this is not a child but i have a cyst on the outside of my ear (at least thats what my gp thinks it is, but has never seen a cystr their before)and have been referred to the ear nose and throat people at the hospital.

What will they do!

Albosmum, I had a sebaceous cyst removed as day surgery (was on ear lobe - caused my piercing, I think). Was quick and painless (local).
