Wierc nettlerash suddenly spreading up my back

ANyone any ideas on what this is? I have done the NHS on line checklist and have no dangerous symptoms, just this odd, slightly itchy lumpy rash that has started in the small of my back and is running up my spine.

Allergic reaction?

urticaria?

i wonder if it's down to my new rucksack - not that I wear the thing against naked skin but I suppose it could be a slight sweat rash.

not a shingles type thing starting? anything on rest of trunk?

I've had that from using a gym shower gel that I was allergic to. Have you used a new soap or something? Or it could just be a hive-like heat rash?

Sounds like hives, can be from a food allergy -- I got it once after drinking red wine. Take Piriton if you have some?

i know i really should have said hives shouldnt i, just thats what the doctor called it when ds had it, took me ages to find a link at the time as i didnt know how it was spelt!

Hmm, hope it's not anything like shingles, but i think I would feel ill if it was, and I don't. I just had a mild itch, stuck my hand up my jumper to scratch and there were all these funny little lumps...

ds got it on his face once, appeared one morning for no apparent reason and was gone by the next day, never found out why and its never came back since
