she's been limping and in pain all day. i told her to put plasters on to splint it to the toe next to it iyswim - and cellotape

anyway, i didn't think they could do much at the hozzie with a broken toe and didn't want to fuck about in casualty, but feeling a bit guilty - so wwyd? she's 16 and has college tomoz - and i have work - but totally willing to fuck it off in favour of hozzie if you think i should

I dont think they can do much for a broken toe - perhaps replace the sellotape with fabric plaster and give her paracetamol??? you could fone nhs direct if you have a spare 3 hours to wait.

Hope shes soon ok tho.

Tortington · 06/12/2009 23:38

she has fabric plater - and cellotape over top

thanks for that, should i keep her off college or make her catch the train?

try to keep wait off it, take ibporfen and she'll be fine

they dont splint toes or fingers nowadays

nickschick · 06/12/2009 23:42

googled it ....www.footphysicians.com/footankleinfo/metatarsal-fractures.htm - I think u have to go to hospital ...

My DD broke her toe earlier this year and went to a walk in centre, where she was told they didn't do anything about toes, just let them heal on their own. I think they would do something if it is the big toe though. But I would go if you are worried.
