I have done something to my shoulder. Should I go to A&E

I woke up this morning with a really bad pain in my right shoulder. It feels at though it has a heavy weight on and hurts when I move it in certain directions but not all the time. It is possibly a bit more 'clicky' than usual as well (if that makes sense!)

It possibly looks a bit odd as well - as in slightly different from the other side. I say possibly because my DP thinks it does but then I have scoliosis so tend to look a bit wonky in certain places anyway and he has never looked that closely at my shoulders before!

I was also a bit wheezy when I woke up this morning (not sure if that is relevant) but that has passed.

I'm wondering if I could have dislocated it or something but then I think maybe I have bruised it or something. I don't remember knocking it though. It doesn't feel muscular.

Not sure if I should go to a and e or just leave it.

Any advice anyone?! Thanks

If you go to A&E you will be at the absolute bottom of their list of priorities and will face a very long wait!!

I hurt my shoulder the other week, still not really sure how, possibly slept in an awkward position. It got better within a few days.

I'd see how you go over the next few days and if it still hurts go and see your GP.

That's what I was thinking! I don't want to spend the evening sitting there.

Maybe I'll visit the GP tomorrow if I can get an appointment or else we have a walk in centre at the hospital on weekdays which deals with all minor injuries.

Has anyone got any advice on how to make it hurt less?! I have taken ibuprofen - it hasn't helped and can't go to buy anything stronger now as the shops are closed. Next stop will be wine at this rate! Perhaps that will help it!

Sorry - I am probably a complete wimp! I have never had a pain in my shoulder like it before.
