My dd who is 3 has just sprouted spots bless her. I have never had it and niether has my eldest. Do i need to give her anything other than the calamine? Would piriton stop the itching?

Many Thanks in advance. xxxx

piriton is fine
porridge oats or bicarb of soda in the bath

If you can get some aloe vera gel, we found this to be a godsend - much better than calamine, and much less messy too.

Cool baths help as well (esp in this weather).
Not sure about the piriton - we found the aloe vera gel took care of most of the itching anyway. HTH
