Hi has anyone had two Pandemrix jabs? I've been advised to have a second next week, due to compromised immune system. I wondered if the after effects would be worse or better the second time around. (first time I had temp. for a few days, and sore arm.) Thanks.

I think, in theory at least, it should be easier the second time as you clearly had a decent immune response the first time....I'm no expert, though.

My dds had two doses, mild fever the first night after the first, nothing at all after the second, if that helps.

Good luck, and, having seen your recent good news on another thread, hope you don't mind me saying I am so glad.

Thank you so much Elibean for your kind thoughts. And advice on the jab. I am hoping that I got the reactions out of the way on the first one

I've had to have my swine flu jabs in 2 doses due to a compromised immune system - had the first one 2 weeks ago, having the second next week. I was okay after the first apart from a sore arm!

there was a news report yesterday (or was it thursday?) that said that children who have 2 pandemrix shots are more likely to get a fever after the second shot. dd has her second one this week. She did have a mild fever after the first one so I hope she doesn't get another.

Hope you, and MerryKitten's dd, are both ok.

Kitten, both my dds had more reaction the first time than the second - though dd1 didn't have much either time - definitely no fever the second time. Hope same for your dd.

Thanks everyone, feeling a bit better about it now. Sod's law has arranged things so I'm getting it the day before my birthday!

thanks elibean I'd rather a temp for a day or two rather than flu for her. I'm sure she will be fine though.
