31 weeks pg - Swine flu jab not until 13th of Jan???

That is the next time they can get me in??

I am so angry. Do you think I could try to get it earlier?

I will be 38 weeks pg by then. What happens if I get it between now and then?

I feel your anger! I am so frustrated with this vaccination business and patients are treated differently from one surgery to another. I've been on the phone to my GP surgery, the Primary Care Trust and the Department of Health. I am no further, I still don't know when I'll be able to get my jab!
The latest news from my gp surgery today is that they have put a hold on vaccinations for pregant woment as apparently they do not know now at which trimester it is safer to have the jab.
However when I checked with the Department of Health, they told me that pregant women should be offered both vaccines and I should go back to my Primary Care Trust.
The latest are telling me to contact my GP.
So as you can image, I am going round and round....and still no further!
I will probably get the damn flu before my surgery decides to give me the jab!

I have been awake again since 5am this morning worrying about it.

What annoys me more is that dp has very mild asthma, never has attacks and takes an inhaler if he feels the need to. He had his 3 weeks ago and his surgery opened at the weekend and everyone was done then.

Im going to phone my surgery back and see I can get in earlier.

If not, Im considering changing to one where they are offering them sooner.
