Can a rectocele rub and cause sore red patches on inner vaginal lips?

Hi

I am due to have a posterior repair in 2 weeks for a rectocele.
I get problems with constipation and painful sex but it's not inside that is sore, it's the vaginal lips that are uncomfortable.
I decided to have a look down there myself today and even though I haven't had sex for about a week my inner lips are raised and red.
I don't think my prolapse is bad enough to be coming out of the vagina but I can only think that it is somehow rubbing on the lips or maybe stopping the lubrication or something.
Wondered if anyone had a similar experience, I know there are alot of people on here that have had this operation.

i have grazes there that have never healed properly.

Did you have grazes there (or should that be huge chunks of missing tissue)!

Hmmm i wouldnt of thought a rectocele would cause sore lips. Sounds more like a coincidental irritation?
