I took fleet phospho soda at 6:30 this evening, shouldnt I be running to the bathroom by now? Or have some experienced a longer delay?

Really need sleep , but concerned I might have an accident in bed . Do I just go to sleep on a towel and see if anything happens further into the night.

Leaflet says to call a Doc if nothing happens after 6hrs!!

Ive already had a jug of water since the fleet and a mug of consomme! I stopped solids at 3 this afternoon.

It's Old MacDonald. He had a farm. Eieio.

I need to have a routine colonoscopy meself and I was thinking of posting to ask how to make the preparatory business more, erm, comfortable! So will be interested to hear how you get on How are you feeling?

My stomach is very noisy , but nothing going on. My mouth is very dry despite drinking loads. So very tired and woozy.

OH GAWD, I really really dont fancy going to local A&E shit hole right now, pardon the pun.

DH said about an hour ago , trust me for something not to work properly for me! Gah hes ever so helpful!

Hes probably now snoring on the sofa!

Ring NHS Direct - they are great. Google for the number. They might get a locum doc to ring you.

haha don't worry, all of a sudden it will take effect and you will wonder why you ever asked this question!

I'm being an insomniac, so forgive me if I keep disappearing. Trying to sleep . Hope you get it sorted, though. Thing is, it is a medicine you've taken, so you need to know what to do from a medical person.

melsy · 01/12/2009 01:42

you are probably right chamo , but this is unfamiliar territory!

Looks like Im doing a good impression of an insomniac to eieio!

It says on leaflet if nothing happens , to stop & not take the next dose , which is due in about 4hrs!

Im waiting for a call back on my mob soon, so as not to wake whole house on landline!

night Im having lol!!

How was it Melsy? Did you get through the night OK?

melsy · 01/12/2009 14:03

Well unsurprisingly as soon as the nurse had got off the phone from me , having suggested I drink another glass of water, the floodgates opened and opened and opened!

I ended up sleeping on the bathroom floor in bursts, as had to be that close to the loo!

and the joyous moment came when I puked up half the contents of my 6am bottle of fleet at 7am to add the wonderfulness of clearing out!

Im now the proud owner of a 6st13lb body!!

I need some food!

OH god, it's horrible, isn't it? Have you had the colonoscopy as well? I think the laxative is by far the worst part.
