Hard protruded stomach in toddler

For the 2nd night running I have noticed DC 2.2 had a hard and protruded stomach - noticed as getting out of the bath.

He doesn't seem to be in any pain and it doesn't look like it during the day.

Any ideas what it could be - no change to the diet, same eating routine, does have a cough/cold at the moment.

Should I check with the doctors tomorrow or am I missing something obvious.

Does a twisted gut present painlessly? Not googled, but if it does I'd be checking this out pronto.

Please go and see a doctor. It may be nothing at all but I don't think it is the sort of thing you should leave if concerned.

No idea what it would be but no doctor alive would say it was not worth attending for when there is a change in a toddler.

Probably just poo, but I would get it checked.

Is he constipated?

Lifeinagoldfishbowl · 30/11/2009 19:08

No he has pooed - however now I think about it they are loosish and first thing in the am IE when I go through and get him up. Then maybe nothing for the rest of the day.

Will make an appointment with the doctor in the am.

Again, still probably poo or wind related, but best checked.

BonjourIvresse · 30/11/2009 19:19

I'd get it checked, things present funny in toddlers, so its useless to check online for a diagnosis.

Have you gone to the doctors?

Hi was just wondering if you had been to the doctors, hope everything is ok
