I just got the nurofen one for £9.99 at the local Lloyds chemist and thats great. only takes seconds and plays a tune when its done. I had an under arm one ank kids didnt like sitting long enough for it to be accurate.

Are these the type that go in the ear? Does DS have to be certain age?

Yes it goes in the ear. Not sure of age I will check.

braun ear thermometer

i wouldn't be without a braun ear thermometer now. i bought it a few weeks ago and i wish i had bought it when dd was born.

Doesnt give an age range but it does tell you how to take temp of under 1s nd over 1s so Id imagine it should be ok. Ask in the shop wher you buy it.

used my braun on dd when she was about 4 months old - didn't need it before
