I am due to have my swine flu jab tomorrow as i am 30 weeks pregnant with pregnancy diabetes and the beginning of pre-eclampsia. DD has had a temp for around 24 hours and tonight has started snotting and coughing, there are cases of swine flu in her class at school. If it is swine flu can i have my injection tomorrow? And if i do have it are you immune straight away?

I don't know if you are able to have the jab tomorrow..but i do no that you are immune 14 days after you have had the jab. I know this because lots of children here have had the jab..and then been in contact with a confirmed swine flu person and still has to take tamiflu!

Hope your DD is better soon.

Well dd has been awake all night with a high temp and shivering like mad, very weary this morning just wants to lay on the couch and got a snotty nose and cough, she is however still laughing at the tv programme she is watching. How do i know if this is swine flu or just a bad cold?

Should i go for the injection? Really worried if it is cos of pregnancy and diabetes, i hate this x Any advice?
