Pink/brown jelly like discharge, not pregnant, normal?

Sorry for the nature of this question, I h.ave recently stopped taking the pill, period ended the Saturday before last.

The last couple of days I have had discharge that is like jelly that is a pinky brown colour. It's been so long, i.e. I was a teenager, since I have had a normal cycle that I have no clue if this is normal or what it might be.

Can anyone help and assure me this is perfectly normal?

that jelly stuff is usually around ovulation...I get it sometimes after period has ended - pre ovulation. I think it's probably ok...

It's mucus, perfectly normal. It helps the sperm get to the egg more quickly so watch out if you don't want that! They used to say in Africa (maybe still do) , as a basic aid to contraception: " if it's wet a baby you'll get, if it's dry it's safe to try." Or so I remember reading somewhere.

Thank you ladies, I was just very surprised, never had it before as always been on the pill and didn't get anything like it whilst pregnant.

Glad it's normal. Thanks for the heads up about it helping sperm, good to know, definitely avoiding that!

It's not usually pink or tinged with blood though, but is probably your periods sorting themselves out. Did the last one take ages to actually finish, brown stuff etc? After that kind of period I've had the same thing. If it happens often though you might want to get it checked out as it does mean you are still bleeding.

Yeah, last period was a bit odd, fairly light but lasted a while. Was juts worried when I googled and everything that came up was pregnancy related and had me mildly panicked...

Hopefully it's just my body trying to adapt to the lack of artificial hormones.

sounds more like ovulation stuff...is probably just a strange slow period...body sorting itself out. I wouldn't worry, like I said, I have had that, recently actually...

but yes, you prob fairly fertile right now!
