I suffer terribly with mouth ulcers. They literally are a pain! I use Adcortyl in Orabase which you can buy in any chemist. However, it's a paste so it probably wouldn't stay on the tip of your tongue.

I would suggest you see your GP. 10 days is a long time.

OP 10 days is a long time and if they are recurring ,you should go to the docs for a blood test.
Are you run down, as this can cause them and a decreased immunity does as well.
Better to be on the safe side. My DS2 had them for weeks and they did a blood test to see what was going on with his white blood cells.
Temporarily as detta says adcortyl in orabse is good ,and also corlan pellets used carefully on large ones are brilliant too. But both only for short term use as they contain steroids.

Adcortyl in orabase is no longer being made and is very hard to find therefore Corlan pellets are probably your best bet.

10 days is a long time if it's an individual ulcer, as you appear to be have small ulcers than heal only to be replaced by another ulcer elsewhere it's not a major concern yet. I would try using a mouthwash if you arent already, you may find an alcohol free mouthwash nicer to use as it will sting less on the ulcers.

If after trying to treat the ulcers you are not ulcer free in a week i would contact your GP.

thanks folks - will try the mouthwash for a bit and then head to the GP - can they actually do anything if you are run=down?

they might do a blood test just to rule anything ut..they did with my DS2.
sometimes you can get ulcers if you are deficient in B12 but have the blood test first.
