Could this be related or do I have some strange virus? I also have a headache and feel nauseous, but dont have a cold or cough. All I could do yesterday was sleep on and off all day. Some of the discomfort was alleviated by nurofen and an anti histamine.

Corrrrrrrrrrrr am I glad Im out the other side of that ordeal. Came home late last night from hospitalTake a look at my rather lovely and graphic details of colonoscopy prep, make sure youve had food 1st!

Well Ive been diagnosed with proctitis, which is the rectal version of colitis, nice!

I have 21 days of Nsaids & a 21 days of lovely foam hydrocortisone enema twice daily!

Consultant sees no reason why I shouldnt go back to my normal diet , but now Ive been eating differently and read up on diet/stress relation to this, Im having a hard think about it all.

The thought is that I have an underlying auto immune disease still , btu they dont know what it is yet, if ever. IM still waiting on other test results and biopsy from my colonoscopy.

Felt pretty odd all day , as they sleep draft/sedative is sooo strong, have just laid in bed like a zombie! Now feeling a it more human.

Have several more follow ups and poss some more tests, ick!

The beat goes on as they say!

i know it the amnesia drug, its hypnovel which is the date rape drug. I didnt remember anything for 24 hours and i felt zapped too. Dont forget, your body knows its had a trauma, so just rest for 24 hours.

When i had my colonoscopy i was booked in for a colposcopy the same day with the gynae doc at 6pm. I went down with my boyfriend to the gynae ,had ther procedure done (legs akimbo etc) and then 2-3 hours later i said...'oh i have missed my gynae appt'. To which he replied....youve had it done, had a chat with doc and had you tea blah blah blah. The frightening thing is ,I remembered nothing.[yikes]

hi melsy...hw are you doing...are you feeling any better.any results yet?

melsy · 09/12/2009 16:08

Getting there slow alypaly. Im gradually trying to get back into normal routine, by doing a little bit more every few days. Im normally one for throwing self back in full throttle and this time I know it cant be that way, phasing is best. Think its an ME technique I was reading about. Small bursts then rest and calm. Hard with 2 littlies under 6 though!

Have lots of friends helping out with my dd's here & there so I can rest or get some shopping. Ive been a refugee in a few houses this wk & one took me into local town today to get out!

I think Im ok and then get all wobbly and loose balance, keep falling over, probably my blood sugar , as Im still restricting my diet, as some things still trigger wind/no BM/pain in err bits etc! Dont really know what to do yet. Im always hungry right now.

No more info on diagnosis yet , except knowing I have proctitis.

I have rheumatologist follow up tomorrow morning though.
