or "Banana boat" skincare as its pure aloe vera gel but calamine lotion is the first choice for me

cold tea (without milk) will take the burning out after about an hour, stains the skin but works wonders, just dab on with cotton wool.

Try a tepid moisturising bath (have you got any baby bath with Aloe Vera or Camomile ?). Also baby lotion might be better than nothing if you happen to have any.

not prefume baby lotion as it was burn, best with non=prefumed bath or moisturiser

Olive oil is supposed to mop up free-radicals on the skin, I may be remembering wrong, but I thnk i read it was about the only thing you could put on sunburnt skin that may actually repair some of the damage.

I was coating DH's chest & DS1's legs with olive oil myself, this evening.

nivea hand cream works wonders too.

I knew this would be you when I read the thread title. What a P*! Am livid for you and they must be so uncomfortable. We've spent a gorgeous day at the beach and none of us are burnt. How hard is it to apply suncream every few hours! This kind of thing makes me very on your behalf! Have you got a fan in the house to blow on them all night and at least relieve the discomfort a bit. Hope they're all asleep for you now though - just seen the time.

No Rickman - it's not you who is so obvious - it's the insanely stupid actions of your XP! Am glad they've settled ok - hope they're not too sore tomorrow! Will have to make sure they're well covered up for school as there's no end in sight for the sunshine! Will the teachers make sure they've got sufficient cream on, or can they play in shady areas?
