Has anyone took amoxcillan whilst pregnant?

Been to the gp today and have a chest infection so given amoxicillan, i am 29 weeks pregnant so a bit concerned about taking it x Has anyone else taken it whilst pregnant? I have just took the 1st dose and the baby seems to like it anyway cos shes kicking like mad

I was taking it a few weeks ago for sinusitis I was around 16 weeks then. I didn't seem to have any side effects.

I took it at around 32 weeks for a UTI, no problems that I noticed, and GP was happy for me to take it.

A tip though, it can have a side effect of causing thrush so might be wise to eat lots of probiotic yoghurt.

I think one side affect might be that it can cause nausea, but i have had this throughout so cannot attribute this to the ABs!

I took it for 14 weeks as a way to reduce the risk of UTI which caused me a load of issues with my kidneys in my 3rd pg.

Dd2 is now almost 6 and there have been no issues. I also had cephalexin along with it which was fine too (though my bowels were looser than they were previously - held off my previous pregnancy constipation!)
