can acupuncture make you feel exhausted and nauseous?

i had a session of acupuncture yesterday to try and speed up bleeding following a missed miscarriage. The practitioner is well known, with an international reputation for her work.
But later yesterday afternoon i began feeling nauseous. i felt very exhausted but did not sleep well last night and feel absolutely terrible today - drained of all energy and still very nauseous. is this a coincidence? i'm wondering if i've had some kind of bad reaction to the acupuncture or if my symptoms are relating to the miscarriage.

yes- I have had lots of ac and often felt very weird afterwards.

So sorry you're going through this. I had a mmc earlier this year. I tend to feel very tired after acupuncture sessions but never nauseous.

I'd give the acupuncturist a call and check but I'd also call your GP/NHS Direct just in case there is any chance of an infection.

thanks. going to reassess situation tomorrow morning as possibility of infection has also crossed my mind.
