general anaesthetic in early pregnancy???!!

Just found out I am pg (only about 6/7 weeks) and ten days ago I had a general anaesthetic for routine incisional hernia repair! My pg is v. v. unexpected but very welcome, both dh and I have fertility issues, but now I'm terrified that baby will have been harmed in some way. Any one know any more? My GP just said 'it should be ok'!!!

Kassie, IIRC jessicasmummy had appendicitis a few weeks ago and had to have her appendix out while pregnant - I will just check I am talking about the right person
