Itchy feet in bed?

Am I the only one who gets this? Feet/ankles/lower calves are fine during the days. However, once in bed, they start to itch like mad. It has been going on for months if not years, can't be washing powder or anything like that . Coating them in germolene helps, but isn't exactly a permanent solution. Does anyone know what causes it, or how I can stop it?

It's not restless leg syndrome is it? It used to drive me mad. Look it up and see if it rings a bell with you.

I agree it sounds like restless leg syndrome

I sometimes get itchy feet - for me its caused by my feet being too cold or too hot
So I either add or remove socks.

A load of E45 rubbed on them helps a lot

Could also be a fungal infection that is aggravated once your feet warm up in bed.

Ta for your responses.

I looked up restless legs, but it isn't that. It is just itching, but it comes on very quickly, and it very intense. It only affects my legs from just about my ankles to halfway to my toes. It happens whether or not I am wearing socks - my feet never get hot, so it can't be heat .

I can't see any evidence of a fungal issue, and the area that is affected is big - mainly on the top and sides of my feet/ankles. It doesn't itch between my toes/on the soles.

It is a mystery then. I will try the E45 though - thanks for the tip
