Could a baby catch rubella from her recently immunized sister?

Dd1 had the single rubella jab last weekend & this week her baby sister has been ill with a high temp and now a rash that looks like german measels. Cld her sister have passed it on from the jab?

Anyone know? I have googles and it is a live vaccine but I don't know if that necessarily means it makes the recipient contagious.

the mmr one says that the any rash, etc you get from it is not contagious so maybe it is the same for the singles too. The NHS website says this about mmr measles rash:

Post-immunisation symptoms are not infectious and therefore the child will not be infectious to non-immunised children

Its a live vaccine and so yes . Thats why its given as mums leave the hosp if required post natally so other babies dont catch it . You need yo take lo to docs x
