my foot regularly gets it, things fall on it, i snub my toes all the time, if anything falls it normally bounces and then hits my foot, its a running joke now.......

KatieMac · 09/06/2005 22:50

So Orinoco - you need a bike helmet and Sparklymieow need stell capped boots - for me It's between my waist and bum - I get bashed bits fall apart everything goes wrong there

Janh · 09/06/2005 22:51

You wouldn't be Aries, would you, Orinoco...?

(I bang my head a lot too and I can't stop it either.)

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2005 22:51

Orinoco - crash helmet? Sorry no help I know but I now have an amusing image in my head of a womble in a crash hat

sparkly - yep, it's feet with me too.

DH has even managed to run over my foot twice - once just with the middle castor of the bed but also once with the sodding car

Miaou · 09/06/2005 22:52

Ah yes Janh, but you are very tall, I bet that explains a lot of the bangs!

Frizbe · 09/06/2005 22:52

Get your eyesight checked, as its periferal (sp) vision, that makes you go, oh yeah there's summat there!

GeorginaA · 09/06/2005 22:53

Orinoco, I've heard that it's to do with how well you use your eyes - i.e. the quality of your vision. You can have 20:20 vision in terms of distance, but there's lots of other factors to good quality vision including night, depth, movement, peripheral, detail etc. My vision is pretty naff actually. I'm short-sighted and it's 20:20 when corrected with glasses but I don't "use" my eyes as well as I could - am forever banging into things, not recognising people if I'm not looking out for them (even though I "see" them, I don't see them, if you see what I mean).

Apparently it is correctable with certain eye/brain exercises and I did have a book around here somewhere with the exercises in, but I got lazy and couldn't be bothered to do them!

GeorginaA · 09/06/2005 22:55

This is the book I have... makes for interesting reading. Never got myself organised enough to actually do anything about it though!

Do Aries particularly bang their heads? (I am and do, so unfortunately can't give good advice as how to stop!)

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:38

Each zodiac sign rules a different part of the body starting with Aries at the top and finishing (I guess) with Pisces at the feet. I and my Aries children are all very short-sighted, and have lots of probs with teeth and jaw too. I know astrology is tosh but, you know - do do do do as orinoco said!

Aries governs the head, brain and eyes
Taurus governs the throat and neck
Gemini rules the hands and arms, ears, chest and lungs, thymus gland and upper ribs
Cancer governs the chest, breasts, elbows, stomach and digestion, womb and female reproductive organs.
Leo governs the upper back, forearms, wrist, spine and heart.
Virgo rules the hands, abdomen, intestines, spleen and central nervous system.
Libra governs the lumber region, lower back and kidneys
Scorpio governs the pelvis, reproductive (sexual organs) and urinary system
Sagittarius governs the hips, thighs and sacral area
Capricorn governs the knees, bones and skin
Aquarius is said to govern the legs from knees to ankles and the circulation of the blood
Pisces governs the feet, liver and lymphatics

Does any of this apply to anyone? mieow, are you pisces or is that too good to be true?

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:39

And "The sign Aries rules the head and Aries people have a reputation for bashing their heads" from a site called Conversations with the Magi...

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:40

I have excellent peripheral vision btw (my optician has a nifty machine that checks it!)

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2005 23:42

Aquarius is said to govern the legs from knees to ankles and the circulation of the blood

DH and I are both Aquarius.

Both got bad knees.
I have tendonitis in both ankles. He has bad varicose veins in both ankles.
I have auto-immune problems (a blood disorder). He has coagulation and circulation problems.

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:42

Weird or what, Stg?

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:43

StG, even

JoolsToo · 09/06/2005 23:43

nothing wrong with my back or kidneys but also am very short-sighted - reading vision is marvellous though!

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:45

Oh JT, you have ruined my 100% average!

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2005 23:47

I don't find it wierd though Janh - but then again I don't think Astrology is all tosh, not if looked into in detail.

This is just Sun Sign stuff, if you do full charts it can get freakily accurate.

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:49

I don't either really...

(Just said that to cover meself. Of course daily horoscopes are tosh!)

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2005 23:51

Daily horoscopes are a load of bllc%$ !

Did I disguise that enough do you think or will people spot me swearing?

SaintGeorge · 09/06/2005 23:52

oops - had some * in there and they made it go bold instead.

must preview.

Janh · 09/06/2005 23:53

Oh, I wouldn't bother, I think bllc%$ disguises it very nicely

JoolsToo · 09/06/2005 23:55

tch, tch swearing - its been banned you know!
