thought I'd share

gurgly. crampy and ver loose. Have to be careful where and when I break wind.

probably stress related as have been a bit tense this week.

How shall I bung them up a bit?

mine too. Shall we ask for a 'keep out TMI' (too much irritation) topic?

BitOfFun · 29/09/2009 17:36

I'll see your irritable bowel and raise you my hostile vagina

Or something.

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:37

Peppermint tea to calm/relax your gut.

Probiotics - acidophilus.

Drink lots of water - not cold, but warm/hot, again to relax the gut.

I see your IBS, your hostile vagina and raise you to a Bartholin's cyst ...

Littlefish · 29/09/2009 17:40

Aloe vera. Did wonders for mine.

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 17:41

I'll see you your Bartholin's cyst (ouch!) and your hostile vaginasand raise you an inflamed and bleeding hemmorhoid!and DH is moaning about the amount of bog roll I've used over the last couple of days.

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:41

Hah! Now you're talking, EG!

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:42

All I need is another dose of thrush and I think that's a full house!

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 17:43

where does one find acidophilus?

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:44

Good healthfood shop. Go to one where you can buy it from the fridge.

weegiemum · 29/09/2009 17:44

Hah! I see your bleeding haemmoroid and raise you my thrush at the same time as a very delayed and clotty period .....

BitOfFun · 29/09/2009 17:44

Healthfood shop/vitamin aisle

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:45

Throw in some cystitis as well then, weegiemum - no point doing things by half!

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 17:46

eeew weegie. WTF are you doing with all that stuff?

OP posts:
EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 17:49

OP posts:
fruitshootsandheaves · 29/09/2009 17:50

cork?

BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 17:52

Do they have a pharmacy? Colpermin could help, otherwise peppermint tea is really helpful.

Are you constipated? Could always try getting a Colon Cleanser - I think there's an Aloe Vera one you can get.

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 18:09

DD1 has just exploded in a similar manner.

am beginning to suspect a lurgy rather than an irritation.

Thought it felt different to my usual cycle linked irritability.

BIWI a colon cleanser is perhaps the last thing I need right now. a cork would probably be most useful.

OP posts:
EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 18:10

and by god my bum hole is sore.

OP posts:
BecauseImWorthIt · 29/09/2009 18:10

Ah but - diarrhoea can often, strangely, be a symptom of constipation!

weegiemum · 29/09/2009 18:25

I have the thrush because I had a UTI ......

My bowels are pretty loose too - I haven't left the house today and my mooncup is not a sight fot the faint hearted (or weak-stomached!)

EccentricaGallumbits · 29/09/2009 18:27

oh jeeez that is unplesent.

everyone in my family had so called IBS after years of pain we all went one by one on an exclusion diet:

My mum and I are totally wheat intolerant
My sister cabn't have citric acid
My nephew is dairy intolerant.

the difference in all of us is amazing. No more cramps/swelling
/tiredness/less irritable

and if any of us make a mistake we bloat out/diarrhoea

it's been great.

We were all fobbed off for years

If I were you I would exlude away!
