Why am I having a period less than two weeks after the last one?

Any ideas? This hasn't happened to me before. I had a backache for a few days last week (happens quite often in the week pre-period) and have just started to bleed. Apart from the fact that I only had my last period less than two weeks ago, I'm also surprised because it wasn't preceded by PMT. I always get PMT - some months are worse than others, although the PMT I had a few weeks ago (before the period that started on the 8th) was monumental. It all seems odd.
Any ideas?

Loon I think I'll give it a few days to sink in (and to be sure - because of course now I've searched "false BFP" so it might be false, or a very early mc or something). Then I'll come and join you.
I am actually thinking about waiting a few days to tell dp until I've seen the doc, just in case. He'll get over it I'm sure but it'l be a shock I reckon. No point freaking him out about nothing.

Oh my goodness Otter, I was doing some research as I am going through the same exact thing myself with the period thing. By the way Congratulations. May I ask how long it lasted for you, as this is not normal for me at all and I'm only 32 years old so don't believe it's the premenopausal. Thanks.

I often get two periods a month but I am only 32 so I hope I am not peri menopausal

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm in the right place here but I thought I'd try anyway. I'm 22 years old and have been on the contraceptive implant for years. My implant is due to end in July. I had my period a week ago and now I'm getting a light brown slightly pink discharge and really light cramping. Is this my period again? Also I have been really emotional this week and feeling light headed. As I suffer with anxiety this is situation is worrying me, I have never experienced this spotting before. Can anyone help me? confused

And this month I come on my period on the 8th til 12th I’m a 21-28day cycle and I started getting spotting when I wiped after the bathroom and then next day I have lower Abdominal pain n lower back pain this bleeding is more like a tablespoon or alittle over and I was on the pill but I was put on antibiotics for quinsy for me throat

I have a question my periods are pretty regular 23 and 25 day cycles me and my husband are trying to conceive I had my period 17th thru the 23rd which was a longer period for me but my husband and I had sex two nights in a row my calendar showed my ovulation on day 26 then on the 30th i started a very light pink when wiping off and on for a day the next day a little heavier and then today its even heavier I have looked up a lot of thangs on the internet that had my hopes up but now I'm think something else is wrong my boobs are sore on the sides and my nipples are very sensitive I have had a few little cramps and back pains but everything says if I am having red blood that I'm not pregnant can some one try and help me I have so many different symptoms and it's like I'm mixed with a regular mid cycle period or very early signs of pregnancy help please

This is my first time on here. I am a bit confused but maybe someone could shed some light on to my situation. So me and my partner have spoken about having a baby but with the attitude if it happens it happens and not to pin all our hopes on it.

I did a test about 2 weeks ago and we thought we could see a faint line. Anyway later that evening I started to bleed. We then didn't think anymore of the situation and went on with our day to day lives.

This is where I now get confused it's been roughly 2 weeks give or take and I have started to spot again. At first it was brown ish with a discharge texture and now it's turned bloody.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be? My friend mentioned about a possible chemical pregnancy? Never heard of it till then.

Anyway if anyone can help shed some light on this I would be grateful

Hiiii , my first time being up here but ummm I got my period June 10th and it lasted for 5 days , I had an uti while I was on my period and I got cleared of my uti that Sunday. June 19th I was fertile and had unprotected sex with my boyfriend and June 22nd I started light bleeding , my ovulation is to June 23rd(today) but my bleeding went from light to a lil heavy , I have no cramps or pain but when I do it’s either in my upper left thigh or it’s behind my thigh and it’s sharp but not sharp enough to hurt , my nipples are sore and they have been sore since Monday , I have headaches everyday , but I think it’s because of the heat , I have on a pad , been wearing it for about 30 mins now , but it’s only a spot on my pad with blood , can somebody help me figure out what this is. Like am I started my period again or is it something more serious???
