Cloudy urine in pregnancy

Hi,

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have noticed a couple of times recently that my urine is quite cloudy.

Is this normal in pregnancy or could it be a sign of something?

Thanks!

Normally your urine is quite cloudy - it can be a sign of leucocytes (white blood cells) which would show you have a slight infection, or if can be that you have been passing small quantities of minerals (harmless and normal).

If you have a fever, lower back pain, pain on urination or foul smelling urine then take a sample to the GP. Otherwise drink a bit more water and it'll probably go within 24 hours.
