Really worried - my 5 y/o has just eaten a bad agg

It was soft boiled and she'd almost got to the bottom of it before she said it smelt. But she'd said earlier that 'the toast tasted funny' and I'm kicking myself I didn't realise she was talking about the egg on the toast.
The egg smelt horrible and I'm so worried she's about to get sick now

do not worry

the bugs that make eggs go off are not the same ones that give you food poisoning (salmonella etc)

she will be fine

dh ate some about 6 weeks out of date last weekend - no ill effects.

THANKS! feel so reassured by that Mrs B - didn't know they weren't the same bugs - and Lizs. Pixie I will definitely call them if she starts throwing up.
