help:DH in Amercia with fractured skull and severe concussion - any experiences

...he fainted getting out of a hot tub. He doesn't rememebr much of his stay in hospital, but is getting better. We are on day 3 since the accidnet - he has lost some control of his left hand side and so can't stand up, he is slurry and can't remmeber some things from his days in hospital.......please tell me it will get better and it is unlikely there will permanant damage

Something similar happened to a brother of a friend, only he broke his leg too (skiing). About 6 months ago in Canada, he's still getting rehab for the leg, but otherwise has had a full recovery.

Say what you will against North American health care, but your DH should have the very best possible care there. Remember it's still very early in his recovery.
