please reassure my that you cant possibly be pregnant when you have just had a period!

few weeks ago i was sick for 2 weeks (suspected food poisoning) then i seemed to be ok. just had my period and last few days had bad headaches on and off and been sick again.

my friend said i should do a pregnancy test just in case but i dont want to as too worried (plus dont want to waste money). i really can not be pregnant if ive had a period can i. it wasn't particularly heavy but not so light that it wasn't a proper one. i have not missed a pill in many months so i cant see how it could happen. please re assure me!

Im looking at my 2yr old dd and remembering the same feeling I couldnt possibly be pregnant but I was. Only definate way is to do a test I would wait a few days and then if you dont think its a bug do a test. Good luck

Hmm sorry not very reassuring but it is possible to have periods while you are pregnant... can you try a cheapie pound shop test?

ru sure it was a period and not implantation bleeding? my best mates mum had 'periods' every month even though she was pregnant.

i am absolutely shitting myself quite worried now. maybe i will have to buy a cheapy test from wilkinsons or something

i dont remember bleeding at all when i had ds. im pretty sure it was just a normal period. i didn't have hardly any stomach cramp as i normally do. oh i dont want to be pregnant.

say i was, im still taking my contraception pill. what effect would that have on me? would it be having any effect? or just not be doing anything anymore?

I bf ds for 18 months had one period and then had what I thought was the start of another.

Turned out it was an inplantation bleed

And dd (age 5) is very cute.

Sorry, I had light periods until I was 5 months pregnant and I hadn't missed any pills either. Do a test just to be sure.

If you had a sickness bug the Pill might not have been effective during that time. Sorry for TMI but did you do the deed (unlikely thogh it seems when you are chucking everywhere) without using any other protection?
Agree to do a test ASAP. better to know sooner than later.

lankyalto, cant remember exactly but prob not likely. it has also just occurred to me that i was on antibiotics for a tooth infection about 7 weeks ago. ive not been seeing dp much lately so not been having much sex but its a possibility we may have had sex while i was on the abs thinking back.

oh i hate this. think i will do a test tomorrow and put myself out of my misery (or end up putting myself into more depending on the result)

Antibiotics stop the pill working.

thats why ive mentioned it. didn't think about it at the time. the doctor always reminds me when i get antibiotics to use extra protection. but this prescription was from the dentist and he didn't remind me so i didn't think about extra protection.

lame excuse, but that's what im sticking to!!!

hiya nope still putting the test off. today i actually feel a lot better in myself thats why ive not done it today. ive tried to convince myself that as im feeling better it cant be a baby in my belly!!

If it is negative you can stop stressing and if it is positive you can start thinking what you are going to do.

hope you have stopped taking ur pill even if you are unsure as it can effect the baby's development if you are pregnant....
