Hi, had my mirena out after 7 years and bleeding a lot - what was your exp. pls

I had my mirena out after 7 years on Tues and was told id get a period after 2-4 weeks. Ive had no periods for about 5 years.
Anyway i started to bleed lightly the next day and its progressively got heavier.
Prob feels worse i know because i`m not used to having them but this is like being 15 again !
Is it normal i wonder.
I thought my uterine linig would be that thin by now i would be really light for months .

i didnt think you had them in for 7 yrs in one go. i thought it was nearer 5?
