I've found a lump, is it too late for health insurance?

Went to the doctors today who is referring me to hospital. The lump's in my armpit btw. Now of course all 'those' thoughts are coming into my head. On a very pragmatic level I'm also wondering whether it's possible to get health insurance now after having been to the doctors? Will they try to wriggle out of paying up should the worst come to the worst and also would the premium be sky-high? Any thoughts welcome.

It would be a pre-existing condition
And as there is not a diagnosis yet I doubt they would underwrite it for a higher premium as they don't know what it is
Hope it is all ok x

thanks for that. I'm sure it'll come to nothing but you know the way your mind works!
