sex hurts 6mths post birth

hi, had dd 6mths ago, still sore when I have sex. Had quite a lot of stitches after she was born, it was quite a commotion as the tissue kept tearing while they were stitching it. But day to day it hasn't hurt since a couple of days after the birth. Initially I thought it was a 'lube' issue, but it's not. Any thoughts?

I know that I should just go to my GP, but the thought of my elderly male GP having a rummage is just not an option....

Is there another GP in the practice that you can see?. Is there a Practice nurse?. You can ask for a chaperone to be present with you if you feel really uncomfortable. Do not let potential embarrassment stop you from getting this problem dealt with properly.

I would go to the GP anyway and start the ball rolling to get this properly sorted. It sounds like you need a referral to a gynaecologist asap.
