I have a bad cough (wheezy chest and I feel like I'm drowning in phlegm) and I'm 28 weeks pregnant. This is a pain in the bum, especily since the pregnancy means I am restricted as to what I can take. However, I am getting sick of the side effects-I ended up in A+E with stabbing stomach pains which turned out to be a strained muscle due to coughing too much and last night I somehow managed to cough a filling out of my tooth!
It is really getting silly. Does anyone have any tips for making myself feel better? Up to now I'm taking a lintus for chesty coughs and a low dose of paracetomol for the muscle strain and headache as well as propping myself on one side, raised at both the head and feet (to prevent cramp) and supported at the bump while I'm in bed.
