should I waste my GP's time with this or not? Intermittent numb feeling just below ribcage...

I'm due to visit my GP next week to discuss PCOS test results and so don't want her to think I'm a mad hypochondriac (even if I am ) by bringing up something else while I'm there. OTOH maybe it's sensible to mention it as I happen to be there anyway...?

I've been feeling this numb sensation on the left side of my stomach, just below the ribcage. In fact, probably just below the diaphragm, if my anatomy is correct. It doesn't hurt at all, it's just oddly disconcerting and I wish I knew what could be causing it. I do have IBS so it could be related to that (?) and I guess I'm a little hyper-aware because Chron's disease (sp?) runs in my extended family (my aunt and cousin) and so anything untoward vaguely in that area is always on my radar.

There is of course just the possibility that now I"m aware of it, it's purely psychosomatic anyway!

But I really don't want my GP failing to take the PCOS testing seriously simply because I appear to be using the appointment to bring up random, probably unimportant twinges and aches elsewhere! Any advice much appreciated.

If it is bothering you, and you already have an appointment, I would mention it.

You could ask if the PCOS could have anything to do with this new symptom of yours?

That's a good point Milliways - thank you!!
