You're asking, but you know what to do really - get it checked out.

And last week, I was going out of the living room but kind of talking to dh at the same time and I swung the door right into the side of my face. I literally fell to the floor and burst out crying!!! I really smacked my nose, cheek and forehead and it was really painful for days.

Dh had just oiled all the hinges cos the doors were squeaking but now when you push or pull them the literally fly open. It was all his fault y'see!

my friend dropped an iron on her head about 6 weeks ago and it is still aching. She said yesterday that she is slowly coming back to normal, but her short term memory is pants. The doctor said that it's something that has to heal itself. She's had tests etc and there's nothing wrong, just the nerve endings have had a bash and it will settle down after time. Not much help, but get it checked out, however I suspect it's just one of those things. Sorry!

Gobbledigook · 26/05/2005 12:17

Sorry ML but I'm PMSL! How do you drop an iron on your head!?

On the banging head thing - I think if you don't lose consciousness you are usually OK.

Well you probably are a little stupider than before the bump. Expect a few brain cells leaked out to the wound. Expect a lobotomy will help you forget the whole thing.

Stop laughing you dreadful woman. She's been in pain for ages! [mock grimace!!]

Gobbledigook · 26/05/2005 12:26

I fell into our bedroom while slighly inebriated (many moons ago, pre-kids, never touch a drop now) and hit my face on the chimney breast. I had a black eye and a bruise that ran from my temple to my jaw. No-one belived it was self-inflicted - oooh and it hurt.

when I was about 16, I arrived at my English lesson at school, opened the door and the teacher was there and I literally fell at his feet lol and everyone was in the classroom laughing at me

Another time, I was on a double decker bus with my friend, Kimberley. It was our turn to get off so we made our way down stairs, the bus arrived at the stop and the doors opened. Off went Kimberley and me...well, I just sort of collapsed still on the bus! Kimberley was meanwhile outside of the bus, looking around, confused as to where I had gone! I caught a glimpse of the passengers on the bus (professional 30somethings) and they were all sat there with straight faces. Omg, so embarassing!
