I am really really itchy in my vagina and its driving me mad. I am clean and bathe twice a day and havent had sex in about 3 months so I dont think I could have caught an STI. What could it be?

some good suggestions ta all, i find the antihistamine tablets dont do much, i prefer the non drowsy for if driving obviously, as piriton knocks me out, makes me VERY sleepy! its kinda getting in the way of a sex life..cos obviously its not somewhere u wana "fiddle with" in case the old itch goes haywire..and then ur going oh yes ahhhh-thats the spot..." for all the wrong reasons!!! - isnt it annoying though that we women go to the doctors, and in the end goin in there telling THEM what we think it is causing it. I dont drink beer but do like alcopops, pear cider and suchlike..does this count? i hope not, tho am not a heavy drinker. most of the time i go without knickers, and never use perfumed soap, have been careful about al that for years since having thrush as a teen.Il go back to docs with more suggestions , see what i can be tested for, and take it from there.

..cont'd tho when wearing jeans or combat trousers, (not that often only for shops and suchlike ) then i wear cotton big knickers. so NOT sexy. very bridget jones. LOL. Sexy nylon knickers are literally to put on with the intention of them being whipped off pretty darn quick, !! or itch itch itch..scratch scratch scratch.!!!

The cider and alcopops would be more sugar and thus aggravating something like trush. If its wheat then you should be fine and as you say you dont drink a lot.

I've just discovered my bloody museli has two types of wheat flakes. I've always wanted to make my own, now it seems I'll have to!

www.patient.co.uk/health/Lichen-Sclerosus.htm

this is a link to a site with good info on lichen sclerosus, which thinking about it, is 99% most likely to be what im suffering from. Il see my Doc and see if she agrees this is likely, and go from there. hope the above helps some.
